Week 1 & 2: Introduction to Wheel Throwing!

It’s so exciting to throw a pot on the wheel, so let’s get dirty! Your instructor will teach you the basic steps and techniques for throwing. Week 2 there will be a review and then more making!​

Week 3: Trimming and Hand Building. Trim your pieces from week 2. If there's time after trimming, and learn about pinch-pots, slabs, coils and joining clay pieces.  Everything needs to be finished and ready to go into the kiln for a first firing by the end of class 3.

Week 4: Glazing

Learning about the fundamentals of glazing and try out a few of your first pieces.

Try out dipping glazing from our selection of gorgeous options!

Pieces will go back in the kiln for a second firing and will be ready for pick up in a few weeks!

​

Each class will have about 2 hrs and 40 mins of working time and then about 20 minutes of clean-up.

​

All clay and tools will be provided.

 

If you miss a class that you have registered for, we cannot provide a refund or alternative class time for you. 
Please let your instructor know to keep your work wrapped for the following week.​​​​​
