In consideration of Wheelhouse Pottery, allowing any and all children and/or accompanying adults who enter the facility under the direct or indirect supervision of the undersigned (all of whom are hereinafter collectively referred to as "the Participant"), to use their facilities, I hereby for myself, the Participant, their heirs, executors, administrators, or anyone who might claim on their behalf warrant and agree as follows:
That I am either the Participant's parent, guardian, or have been duly authorized by their parent or guardian to execute this waiver on their behalf.
By signing below and by participating in a class, workshop, or attending the studio, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the class policy as agreed on website, the safety instructions above and the liability waiver below:
In connection with the participant's involvement in ceramic classes, workshops, or attendance at Wheelhouse Pottery, I, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns hereby release and forever discharge Wheelhouse Pottery, its owners, operators, managers, employees, agents, representatives, successors, or assigns (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Wheelhouse Pottery”), from all claims for damages, death, personal injury or loss of property I may have as a result of my participation in any activities or attendance at Wheelhouse Pottery. I understand that the payment made for this class covers the instructional experience and the intended use of tools, studio and materials, not the finished product. The class/studio fee is non-refundable, and there will be no rescheduling of missed classes.

Parents are responsible for ensuring children understand and follow studio behaviour expectation
-
For the safety and security of our students, children under 14 may not leave the premises unattended without a prearranged dismissal plan.
Parents/guardians please discuss the following before student(s) arrive to class:
Our goal is to maintain a respectful, patient, and creative learning environment. Please note disrespectful and disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. In the event of misconduct, parents will be called to pick up their child immediately. No refunds or credits for missed time in the event a parent needs to be called.
No refunds or credits will be issued if a child is not able continue with the class either partially or permanently due to bullying, or disruptive, violent, inappropriate or disrespectful behaviour.
Parents are responsible for ensuring children understand and follow studio behaviour expectations.
To prepare, it is important for kids to know to take their time, go slow and enjoy the process with their creations. We will encourage enjoying the process.
Progress over perfection — Finished pieces will vary from studio samples or images. Each project is handmade and unique, and differences from examples are expected and not grounds for refund or credit.
We want every child to feel safe, supported, and excited to create! We ask that all participants follow instructions, use materials respectfully, and treat others with kindness. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour (like throwing materials, not listening to instructors, or bothering other artists) may result in the child being removed from class. In these cases, a parent or guardian will be called for immediate pickup. Thanks for helping us keep the studio a fun and creative space for everyone!
Our policies are clear, and they exist for a reason: they help us create a space that’s fun, respectful, and welcoming for everyone.
For the safety and security of our students, we do not leave the premises and permission must be granted by a guardian for children to be dismissed on their own.
Pick-up happens at 6:30pm sharp. Please do not be late.
Being on time is very important
Class instruction happens in the first 15 minutes, and arriving late means your child may miss key steps. If you expect to be more than 10 minutes late, we’ll do our best to support them, but please know we can’t pause the class or repeat full instructions.
Behaviour & Studio Conduct

Studio Policy:
Students are responsible for their own safety at the studio. This includes the use of materials, tools and equipment, as well as being aware of what is happening in and around the studio. Pottery involves the use of potentially hazardous materials and equipment. Please follow all safety instructions provided by our instructors and staff.
Wheels and your wheel area must be wiped down and left clean and ready for the next students.
Please return cleaned tools, clay and materials to their proper location as instructed.
Clean-up of work areas should be done with a wet sponge twice. Avoid sweeping in the ceramics studio as it raises dust that will remain air born for many hours. Water is the best solution for cleaning. Be aware of floors that may be slippery after mopping.
Leaving the studio unclean will result in a warning and then possible cancellation of your class participation. Class fee will not be returned.
Students are not to operate machinery which you have not been trained or assigned (pug mill, kilns, any other equipment that you are unfamiliar with). Students are not permitted to go into the kiln room area.
No outside clay, glazes or ceramics materials may be brought into or used in the studio without specific approval. No unfired clay may leave the studio.
Photo Release:
I understand that my child(ren) may be photographed or filmed at Wheelhouse Pottery Pottery during their class. These photos/videos may be used to promote the studio’s services in print or online.
I grant permission for my child(ren) to be photographed/filmed for promotional use. I acknowledge it is my responsibility to update this form if I no longer wish to authorize these uses. This release remains in effect during my child’s enrolment. I understand that no payment will be made for my or my child’s participation in this release.
I acknowledge that I have read and understand the Wheelhouse Pottery studio Rules and Policies, and the Liability Waiver above.
